Pro Works Painting is one of the largest painting franchises spanning across Canada. We were fortunate to be introduced to them by a colleague who is a business coach at the Breakthrough Academy which is North America's leading educational institute for coaching contracting businesses in improving their operations and systems.
Our goal was to get all aspects of the client's marketing to be under their ownership and control, set goals/targets to track and measure performance and ROI, and use SEO to increase revenue such that the owners and each of the 20+ franchisees could grow and prosper.

For an established and reputable company that had been around for many years, Pro Works search engine ranking was non-existent.
In October 2024, the client was ranking for 50 keywords, most of which were not on the 1st page nor were they transactional keywords. The client was nowhere to be found on AI search so we also wanted to focus on generative engine optimization (GEO).
The client was at domain authority 15/100 (this is essentially how much they matter on the internet for their given vertical). 15/100 sounds worse than it is, it's fairly decent for a small business, but lots of room for growth.
They had only received 150 clicks from organic search, and were too reliant on their Google Advertising.

In October 2025, just 1 year later, the client is now ranking for 900 keywords, many of which are on the front page. Transactional keywords like "how much should it cost to paint the exterior of a home", "painters in kelowna", or "Lethbridge painters" which show intent to purchase.
The client now has 21/100 domain authority which allows us to more easily rank for more keywords. These were attained by building quality content which other websites have now backlinked to.
They are now receiving 1600 clicks per month from organic search which is over 10x higher than the same period last year.
In just 1 year, the franchisees have reported over 3 million in collective revenue from booked jobs. It is important to feed data from booked jobs back to your marketing team so that we can close the loop on knowing which actions are leading to which results, to be able to focus on the right keywords.
