Hand Eye Ceramics is one of the busiest pottery studios in Vancouver, with classes every day, wheel rentals and studio memberships. Sign-ups ran on email, phone calls and e-transfers, and the owner confirmed every registration by hand.
We photographed the studio and built a new e-commerce site that lists a full year of six-week courses, more than 150 of them, so students can book and pay in one go. A student resources page, seven email automations and a smart contact form now answer the common questions. The site has processed more than 1,000 orders automatically, converts at 12.9%, and recovers 44% of abandoned carts.
I really like the look of the new site, and it’s saved me time on many fronts. Not having to personally handle every new pottery student sign-up and question that comes through the website leaves me with a lot more time.
